We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our CML team in Lutterworth, supporting a busy transport operation delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent opportunity offering full-time stability, a regular 4 on 4 off shift pattern and the chance to be part of a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliability and high standards are valued every day.

- Variety of Shift start times available,
- Various shift patterns available, with ideal start-time windows currently ranging from 00:15 to 03:00 and between 06:30 and 14:30, giving you a choice of early morning and daytime shifts.
- Weekend-only shift options may also be considered, including Saturday and Sunday availability.
Due to the nature of the products being delivered, our drivers will have 3 hour start windows to ensure they are flexible depending on volume.
Pay rates
Base Salary up to £36008.61 plus opportunity for overtime to boost earning potential.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
- The role includes a mix of store and depot deliveries, with some routes involving physical duties such as moving trolleys, handling bread baskets and returning empty baskets.
- Load and unload where required, including bread baskets, trolleys and empty basket returns on some routes.
- Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
- Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
- Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.
- Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery & collection point
- Report any issues with delivery or collection arrival times, delays, or load discrepancies immediately.
- Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
- Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office / Customer Services
- Any other duties as reasonably required
- Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
