To ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function and ensure that company quality standards are adhered to. The post holder must be able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative. Must also be able to communicate effectively to ensure the smooth running of the department. Must be able to make own decisions and liaise with other department colleagues and/or departments.

  • Assisting the Production team where possible.
  • Providing engineering solutions and assist in an operational capacity.
  • Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant.
  • Follow preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules.
  • Repairs during production.
  • Planned maintenance.
  • Inspection outside production hours some weekend overtime working will be required to suit the business needs.
  • To carry out scheduled work to restore machines and site back to standard.
  • To carry out change overs when required.
  • Look for opportunities to continuously improve machine performance.
  • To assist in colleague training and development when required.
  • To ensure that good work practices and housekeeping are adhered to.
  • Drive own personal development through training and work-based experience.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
