Due to continued growth our friendly team in St Helens have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join their team on a full time permanent basis!
As a Supply Chain Planner you will work closely with existing customers and manage potential new businesses; liaise with other departments e.g. Production, Warehouse and Quality ensuring that customers’ expectations and demands are met to deadline.
Salary: £32,000-£34,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Key Duties of a Supply Chain Planner:
- Monitoring and ordering the stock of ingredients and packaging so that production may efficiently achieve customer requirements.
- Expediting and delaying orders as required.
- Communicating with customers to advise of any issues and manage their expectations accordingly.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers for the call-off of free-issue components and packaging.
- Creating and managing vision data, including stock codes, BOMs, stocking levels, etc.
- Coordinating all departments to ensure new projects launch successfully.
- Working closely with the Planning team to schedule the planning of production and manage the day to day matters affecting logistics.
- Developing and maintaining customer third part systems, including SAP and Oracle.
- Organising logistics and booking in vehicles for the warehouse as required.
- Controlling purchase orders for goods and ensuring tight control of paperwork and procedures.
- Performing stock reconciliations and stock balances, reporting results internally and to customers.
- Active involvement in the process of internal auditing.
