Reporting to the Senior General Manager, the Warehouse Manager will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse and site functions. Maintain and improve performance levels both in terms of service and financial control. Responsible for ensuring shift supervisors have all staff, equipment and information that they need to operate through the shift.
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum DOE
Working hours: Tuesday – Saturday – 17:00pm – 02.00am
Key Duties of a Warehouse Manager:
- Develop a highly focused and efficient Warehouse operation, including, but not exhaustive: Goods in/Goods Out, 3rd Party Hauliers and Internal Movements.
- Challenge the ways of working and deliver through innovation cost savings. Monitor, control and minimise waste.
- Ensure best practise is developed and used, constantly seeking improvements to layout, efficiency and stock integrity.
- Management of the Stock Team and for the Control & Management of stock on IPS and Customer stock systems e.g. Vision & SAP
- Management of Yard and associated activities
- Co-ordinate short & long term labour and equipment plans.
- Reviewing staffing levels by function, rotating staff accordingly in line with volumes.
- Monitor and manage team performance against KPI’s.
- To effectively motivate a team of people to meet Warehouse targets
- Identify and mentor potential Key Players of the future. Create strength in depth through the development of the teams. Develop staff by training, mentoring and personal development plans.
- Work with Group Safety Manager on maintaining the Health and Safety Management System
- Monitor and manage the safety systems and training to ensure the site can effectively manage and report on Health and Safety areas.
- Attend the Health and Safety meetings, providing feedback as necessary
- Liaise with customer and attend customer interface meetings
- Manage customer stocktakes on site as required
- To participate in the company’s PDP program
- Drive own personal development through training and work based experience To conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with company procedure
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
